Raw Material Inspection

First and foremost, we carefully examine the incoming raw materials. This involves checking their physical properties like hardness, color, and particle size. Chemical analysis is also carried out to confirm that the materials match the specified grades and have no impurities. For example, when using plastic pellets for injection molding, we test their melt flow index to ensure they will flow properly during the molding process. Only materials that pass these strict inspections are allowed to enter the production line.

Mold Setup and Calibration

Before starting production, the molds are meticulously set up and calibrated. Our technicians check the mold's dimensions, alignment, and the smoothness of its cavities. They also ensure that the cooling channels are working correctly to control the part's cooling rate and avoid issues like warping. Small adjustments are made as needed to guarantee that the mold can produce parts with accurate dimensions and consistent quality.

In-Process Monitoring

During the injection molding process, we constantly monitor various parameters. The injection pressure, temperature, and speed are closely watched and adjusted in real-time to maintain stable production conditions. Operators regularly check the molded parts coming out of the machine for any visible defects such as flash, short shots, or sink marks. If any abnormalities are detected, the process is immediately paused for troubleshooting and corrections to prevent further production of defective items.

Post-Production Inspection

Once the parts are molded, a comprehensive post-production inspection takes place. This includes dimensional measurements using precision measuring tools like calipers and coordinate measuring machines (CMMs) to verify that the parts are within the specified tolerance ranges. Visual inspections are also conducted to look for surface imperfections, scratches, or color variations. Additionally, we may perform functional tests depending on the requirements of the parts, such as checking the strength or flexibility of certain components. Only those parts that pass all these inspections are packaged and shipped to our clients.
